Creative Tourism
Creative tourism defined by Richards and Raymond (2000), tourism which offers visitors the opportunity to develop their creative potential through active participation in learning experiences characteristic of the holiday destination."
As an advocate for Trinidad and Tobago's destination we are currently working to develop and promote niche tourism markets to diversify the tourism product and economy. Sneak a peek at our latest initiative to develop and promote creative tourism! See how our initiative fashion tour is used as a marketing tool for local designers and creatives!

What is a Fashion Tour ?
A fashion tour is an event shuttling patrons to stops at local fashion designer boutiques and Carnival mas' camps occasionally. This event is unique because it falls under the purview of creative tourism in this destination. Hence, it encapsulates local culture, cuisine, fashion, history and the creative process. The event usually lasts for 4 - 6 hours. There is discounted shopping for patrons taking the experience. The party is not rigid and commercial. It is recommended for creatives, students, persons interested in fashion, persons interested in experiencing their country differently and for those wanting to celebrate their special day doing something amazing!
